Quality Gurus and their Legacies

Recognizing yesterday as the 2020 World Quality Day, I think this is the right chance for us to acknowledge our appreciation for the valuable knowledge of Quality Gurus have built, developed and spread out for us, the following generations. This list is made up of all my memories of the concepts, principles, methods and tools that they have contributed to the World Quality Community in particular and the human-being in general. Because subjectively judging who is more, who is less contributive, to rank 1, 2, 3, etc. for example, is very difficult, almost impossible, the order of the gurus names in below list is sorted by their year of birth. So, instead of discussing and arguing about who contributes more than who, let’s focus on the list of legacies they have left for us, correct and or add more, if needed.
Recently, the new concept of Customer Experience Quality (CXQ) is more and more popular. However, since it is not clear abou its “father” (at least, to me) and there are many ways for expressing this concept so far, this will be back sometime later.
Tribute to you all, fathers of traditional quality, the World Quality Gurus!
